Jodhpur (Rajasthan) [India], January 30 : Religious speaker and storyteller, Sadhvi Prem Baisa, passed away in Rajasthan under mysterious circumstances after her health deteriorated, and her body has been sent for a post-mortem, a police official said.

Speaking to reporters in Jodhpur on Thursday, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Chhavi Sharma said that a private compounder had injected her, after which her health further deteriorated, and she was declared dead upon reaching the hospital.

"Her father said that she was not well last night, and they had called a private compounder. After the compounder injected her, her health deteriorated, and she was taken to a private hospital, where she was declared dead. The medical board is conducting a post-mortem," ACP Sharma said.

When asked about her last post on social media platform Instagram, where she wrote, "Sanatan resides in my heart till my last breath" and mentioned "agni pariksha", the police official said, "We do not have complete information about who was handling her account and who had access to her social media. We are investigating it."

In her last post, Sadhvi Baisa wrote, "Salutations to all the revered saints. I lived every moment for the propagation of Sanatan. There is no religion greater than Sanatan Dharma. Today, till my last breath, Sanatan is in my heart. I am fortunate to have been born into Sanatan Dharma. And I took my last breath for Sanatan. In my life, Adi Jagatguru Shankaracharya Bhagwan, world yoga gurus, and revered saints blessed me every moment. I wrote a letter to Adi Guru Shankaracharya and many great saints of the country, requesting Agni Pariksha, but what did nature accept? I am saying goodbye to this world forever, but I have full faith in God and revered saints; I will get justice, if not during my lifetime, then after my death."

Meanwhile, Sadhvi Prem Baisa's brother has demanded justice for her.

He told reporters, "In this difficult time, those of us standing here are here to secure justice for Sadhvi. To have her medically examined and to do whatever it takes to get justice. We just want justice."

Further details on the investigation are awaited.
