The Madhya Pradesh Police is on high alert following the recent violence in Mhow town, Indore. Security measures have been intensified, especially in the capital, Bhopal, with the upcoming Holi festival and Friday prayers. The police have devised a comprehensive strategy to maintain peace and order, including flag marches, barrier checks, and social media monitoring.

On Tuesday night, the Bhopal Police and Rapid Action Force (RAF) conducted a flag march in the old city, covering more than 25 sensitive areas, including Moti Masjid, Sadar Manzil, and Qazi Camp. This march was aimed at sending a strong message to anti-social elements. Old Bhopal has the highest concentration of mosques, attracting large gatherings for Friday prayers, while Holi celebrations also see large processions and crowds.

Over 1,000 police personnel will be deployed across the city to maintain peace. Checkpoints have been set up in sensitive areas, and additional forces have been stationed in crowded locations to handle any situation swiftly. The police will also closely monitor social media, with the cyber cell remaining active 24/7 to track and prevent the spread of provocative posts or rumors. Any suspicious activity will be dealt with immediately.

The Bhopal Police have urged citizens to maintain peace and ignore rumors. They have emphasized the importance of communal harmony during Holi and Friday prayers. Authorities have assured that no anti-social elements will be spared, and law and order will be upheld at all costs. This heightened vigilance is part of broader efforts to ensure peace and security across Madhya Pradesh after the Mhow incident. Preparations in Bhopal are complete, and the police are ready to respond to any situation.

The violence in Mhow erupted during a rally celebrating India’s victory in the ICC Champions Trophy. A minor altercation between individuals escalated into stone-pelting between two groups, causing panic in several areas. The situation worsened when some miscreants set multiple motorcycles on fire, further increasing tensions.
