New Delhi, May 18 Indian mountaineer Shradha Gupta is currently on her Mount Everest expedition, marking another major milestone in her rapidly rising climbing journey after successfully summiting Mount Manaslu (8,163 metres) -- the world’s eighth-highest mountain.
Shradha reached the summit of Manaslu on September 26, 2025, at 8.06 a.m., alongside elite guide Tenji Sherpa with Nirmal Purja’s Elite Exped team.
Manaslu is one of the legendary 14 peaks above 8,000 metres, located in the extreme high-altitude “death zone,” where oxygen levels are critically low, and conditions are among the harshest in mountaineering.
Her successful ascent of Manaslu reflects determination, discipline, and a steady progression from trekking and hiking to serious high-altitude mountaineering.
In a short span of three years, she has already climbed three of the Seven Summits -- Mount Kilimanjaro, Mount Elbrus, and Aconcagua, in addition to completing the Everest Base Camp trek.
