At least seven people were killed and 14 others were injured in an accident where a car travelling to Bahri collided with a truck in Madhya Pradesh's Sidhi area in the early hours of Monday, March 10. The accident took place near Utni Petrol Pump at around 2 am.

The vehicles collided head-on when the SUV (a taxi service) carrying members of a family was going towards Maihar, while the truck was heading to Bahri from Sidhi. Nine injured persons were referred to neighbouring Rewa for further treatment and the others were being treated at the Sidhi district hospital.

The truck driver was detained, the official said, adding further investigation was underway. “Last night at around 2 am, we received the information about the accident between a bulker and a car near Utni Petrol Pump. Around 14 people have been injured and at least seven have died. The bulker was going from Sidhi to Bahri. Investigation is underway," Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Gayatri Tiwari.
