Bhopal, May 11 The Indo-French Investment Conclave will be held in Bhopal on May 12, focusing on strengthening industrial and technological cooperation between Madhya Pradesh and France, as the state government seeks to attract global investment across key sectors.

The conclave, to be organised at the Kushabhau Thakre International Convention Centre, is being jointly hosted by the Indo-French Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Madhya Pradesh government.

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav will address the main session of the conclave, which will be attended by the French ambassador to India, representatives of French companies, senior industry executives, and state government officials.

According to the Madhya Pradesh government, the conclave aims to position the state as a preferred investment destination for French companies by showcasing its industrial policies, infrastructure, and business opportunities.

Industrial representatives from across the state are also expected to participate.

Discussions during the event will focus on sectors such as agro and food processing, automobile and electric vehicles, defence and aviation, pharmaceuticals and medical devices, renewable energy, textiles, tourism, and hospitality.

The government said the conclave will facilitate business-to-business and business-to-government meetings between French companies and state representatives to explore investment opportunities and technical collaborations.

Around 60-80 industrial representatives from Madhya Pradesh are likely to attend.

“Several French firms have already shown interest in investment opportunities in the state. Sanofi is in discussions for a Centre of Excellence with All India Institute of Medical Sciences Bhopal, while Dassault Systèmes is exploring cooperation in urban planning, technical education, and skill development,” the government said on Monday.

Sports retailer Decathlon has shown interest in sourcing and retail expansion, while Systra is examining opportunities in metro rail, roads, railways, water management, and urban planning projects, it stated.

Other participating companies are expected to include EDF, ENGIE, Lactalis, and Geodis India.

The state government said the conclave will also support preparations for the proposed Global Investors Summit-2027.

The French delegation visited the Madhya Pradesh Tribal Museum on Sunday and is scheduled to visit the Bhimbetka Rock Shelters on Monday.
