Bhopal, March 1 Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Saturday said that courts in Madhya Pradesh will be made fully digitised to virtually function and enable online tracking of summons and warrants system within one year.

Addressing a government organised event 'Vikramotsav - 2025' in Ujjain, Chief Minister said that a major portion of police and administrative manpower is being used for judicial purposes, but the system needs to be reformed with modern technology.

"Madhya Pradesh government is preparing a new system for judicial functioning to ensure maximum utilisation of the virtual system. The new system will come into effect in the state within one year," he added.

Chief Minister said he would thank Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah for introducing Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS) and Bharatiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS).

He said that the new regulations will permit the issuance, service and execution of legal documents via various electronic communication channels, ensuring a significant development in the state's judicial functioning.

"Madhya Pradesh has become the first state in the country to notify regulations for this initiative, setting a benchmark for digital innovation in the judicial system," he added.

Notably, last month the state government had organised a two-day Principal District and Sessions Judges Conference in Jabalpur, during which, an advanced digital initiative 'Tvarit' (Transmission of Warrants Summons, and Reports by Information Technology) was also inaugurated.

Chief Justice of the Madhya Pradesh High Court, Justice Suresh Kumar Kait, Justice Sushrut Arvind Dharmadhikari, and other judges along with the representatives of Madhya Pradesh State Legal Services Authority (MP SLSA), the State Judicial Academy, and other dignitaries had attended the session.
