Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], June 30 : Mumbai Central GRP Police has registered a case against an unidentified person for allegedly molesting a 24-year-old girl on a moving local train in Mumbai.

The victim boarded the train from Charni Road station and as the train reached Grant Road railway station, an unknown person got into the compartment and started making obscene gestures at the woman.

Mumbai Central GRP Police has registered a case against the unknown person under Indian Penal Code.

Mumbai GRP said, "Mumbai Central GRP Police has registered a case against an unknown person under section 354 of IPC for molesting a 24-year-old girl on a moving local train in Mumbai."

He added, "The victim boarded the train from Charni Road station and as the train reached Grant Road railway station, an unknown person got into the compartment and started making obscene gestures at the woman, uttered obscene words and ran away from the spot. Police is searching for the accused, further investigation underway."
