Congress leader Mumtaz Patel, daughter of the late senior leader Ahmed Patel, has raised concerns about internal politics within the party, urging Rahul Gandhi to recognize and support dedicated grassroots workers.

Ahead of Rahul Gandhi’s scheduled meetings with PCC leaders, block presidents, and district presidents in Gujarat, Mumtaz Patel voiced her disappointment over the lack of opportunities for committed party members like herself.

"I am in Delhi since I don't hold any post. Many people are trying to stop party workers like me from getting ahead and working on the frontlines. I request Rahul Gandhi to identify those who do not allow honest people to join the party," she said.

Calls for Stronger Leadership and Party Revival

Patel emphasized the need for Rahul Gandhi to focus on leaders who genuinely contribute to the party’s revival. Recalling her father’s unwavering commitment, she stated:"Ahmed Patel would have still been with the party if he was the last man standing."

She also highlighted the disconnect between the leadership and grassroots workers, expressing frustration over the lack of a proper platform to voice concerns."We have a lot of feedback since we are connected to people on the ground, but we don't have a platform to express our views," she added.
