Muzaffarpur Power Cut Today: Power Supply to Remain Suspended on May 12, Check Affected Areas

The power supply to be disrupted in several areas Muzaffarpur city today on May 12, 2026. This power cut is scheduled for maintenance work carried out by the electricity department. According to the notification issued by the department, the main reason for power cut is technical maintenance:

The power cut is planned for maintenance and repair work of 33KV line is to be done at Naya Tola Sub-station (PSS). The electricity power cut will start from 8:30 AM on Tuesday and continue till 11:00 PM. Power supply to all 11 KV feeders connected to Naya Tola sub-station will be completely shut down during this time.

Major areas affected

The Tola feeder will remain closed for maintenance, causing a power outage in the following 12 mohallas and areas:

Kalambagh Road, Thakur Nursing Home Area, Chandralok Chowk, Khabra Road, University area, Gannipur, Damuchok Road, Sarai Syed Ali, and Motizeel area.

Important advice for consumer

Due to a prolonged power outage of approximately 14.5 hours, the department advises residents to complete all water and power-related tasks before 8:30 am.

Please ensure mobile phones, laptops, and inverters are fully charged to avoid inconvenience during the day. Power may be restored earlier if work is completed ahead of schedule.
