Former Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's son and JD-U leader Nishant Kumar, who was among the new entrants in the Cabinet, said: “I will try to live up to the trust that the senior leaders have reposed in me.”

“I have the blessings of the people and the support of party workers. I have been entrusted with a responsibility and will work with pure intentions and complete honesty,” he told IANS.

He said: “Earlier, I had worked in the state’s Agriculture Department. I will once again work towards fulfilling the responsibility of whichever department is assigned to me.”

Former Bihar BJP president Dilip Kumar Jaiswal, who had also served as a minister earlier, said the party’s central leadership had once again entrusted him with ministerial responsibility.

“The priority of the Bihar government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary and the guidance of Nitish Kumar, with the blessings of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is to fulfil the dream of a developed Bihar,” he said.

He added that the new government’s priorities would include employment generation for youths, infrastructure development, and maintaining law and order in the state.

Jaiswal also expressed hope that both the government and the Opposition would work together for Bihar’s development.

JD-U leader Leshi Singh, who achieved the rare feat of taking oath as a minister for the eighth time, thanked party supremo Nitish Kumar for once again placing his trust in her.

LJP (Ram Vilas) leader Sanjay Kumar Singh thanked party president Chirag Paswan as well as Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary for the opportunity. “I thank them for once again placing their trust in me,” he said.
