Jaipur, March 4 Hotel Rangmahal in Jaisalmer, known for its golden yellow stone exteriors and exquisite stone carvings, hit headlines following the sealing of 13 rooms on Tuesday, where the Italian tourists, including the couple declared positive for coronavirus, stayed on February 23-24.

However, there is no news on tourists who were present at the Jailsalmer Fort and haveli during the coronavirus-affected Italian couple's visit, which is worrying, according to officials, here on Wednesday.

Dr B.K. Barupal, Chief Medical Health Officer (CMHO), Jailsalmer, told the couple came to Jaisalmer on February 23 evening. After a night halt, they departed the next day. Twelve people, including two were supervisors, came in contact with the group. "We have screened them and isolated them at home," Barupal said.

On steps to identify the local artisans and folk artists who must have come in contact with them, Barupal said, "We have got the corridors where these artists stay cleaned."

Also, this group didn't go anywhere else, except the fort and haveli, which was established after checking the bus driver's GPRS tracking device, he said.

The group had hired the bus in Delhi and had no local guide, he added.

"We are monitoring the situation and making the people aware about coronavirus," the CMHO of Jailsalmer said.
