The beginning of the new year 2020 doesn't seem to be happy for the common people. As early morning people woke up to the news of Indian Railways announcing hike in ticket price from 1st January, 2020. Now the Modi government has given second blow to the public.

After the railway ticket, the price of non-subsidized LPG has been increased. The price of aircraft fuel (ATF) was increased by 2.6 percent on Wednesday due to the rise in prices in the international market. Non-subsidized LPG cylinder has also become costlier by Rs 19. According to the notification issued by the public sector companies about the price, the price of aircraft fuel in Delhi has increased by Rs 1,637.25 per liter, ie 2.6 percent to Rs 64,323.76 per kiloliter.

Due to the rise in prices in the international market, rates have been increased for the second consecutive month. Earlier on December 1, the price of ATF was marginally increased by Rs 13.88 per kiloliter. The burden of this increase will fall on the airline companies already facing cash crisis.

Apart from this, oil marketing companies have also increased the price of 14.2 kg LPG cylinders without subsidies from Rs 695 to Rs 714. This is the fifth consecutive month when the price of LPG has been increased. The price of LPG is being increased from 2019. In the last five months, the price of non-subsidized LPG has increased by Rs 139.50 per cylinder.

The price of LPG gas cylinder has been increased for the fifth consecutive month. In metros, its price has increased up to Rs 21.50. On the eve of the New Year, the Indian Railways announced a nationwide fare hike that will come into effect from January 1, 2020. This type of domestic LPG cylinder has now become Rs 714 in Delhi . The increased prices have come into effect from Wednesday i.e. on New Year's morning.
