Cuttack (Odisha) [India], March 16 : A fire broke out in the women's hostel of a building located in the Chandi Chowk area of Cuttack, officials informed on Thursday.
They said the fire was brought under control, adding that the cause of the blaze could not be ascertained till the filing of this report.

Further, as per the officials, the Indian Air Force is coordinating with the Indian Navy and the civil administration in combating forest fires in the affected areas of the coastal state.
With forest fires continuing to rage in Goa, the Union Environment ministry on Saturday opened a 24x7 control room to monitor real-time alerts generated by the Forest Survey of India (FSI).
Earlier, on March 14, a massive fire broke out at a factory in Dhayari area of Pune city, officials said.
According to officials, seven fire tenders were rushed to the spot.
