In shocking turn of events, a 21-year-old college student allegedly killed his parents and sister using stones as they opposed his addiction to online games. This incident took place on Tuesday morning in Odisha's Jagatsinghpur district. As per the police report, the young boy killed his parents and sister using stones. 

The incident took place around 3 AM at Jayabada Sethi Sahi under the Jagatsinghpur Police Station, where Surjyakant Sethy allegedly fatally attacked his father, mother, and sister with stones or other hard objects, according to Superintendent of Police Bhawani Sankar Udgata.

Preliminary investigations revealed that Surjyakant was upset with his family for opposing his online gaming, as stated by Jagatsinghpur Police Station inspector-in-charge Prabhas Sahu. The victims have been identified as Prasant Sethy alias Kalia (65), his wife Kanaklata (62), and daughter Rosalin (25). 

After the attack, Surjyakant fled to a nearby area but was later apprehended. SP Udgata expressed concerns about his mental stability. Local MLA Amarendra Das mentioned that the family had previously sought his help regarding a land dispute. 

Villagers reported that Surjyakant confessed to them about the killings. A police team, including the SP and a forensic unit, arrived at the scene to initiate their investigation, while the bodies were sent for post-mortem examinations.
