One dead, 11 new COVID-19 cases in Karnataka

A 69-year-old man from Karnataka's Vijayapura succumbed to COVID-19 even as 11 new people tested positive, raising the tally to 258, an official said on Tuesday.

Bengaluru, April 14 A 69-year-old man from Karnataka's Vijayapura succumbed to COVID-19 even as 11 new people tested positive, raising the tally to 258, an official said on Tuesday.

"Till date, 258 COVID-19 positive cases have been confirmed. This includes nine deaths and 65 discharges," said a health official.

The 69-year-old man was designated as the state's 257th case.

Vijayapura is 526 km northwest of Bengaluru.

In the past 19 hours, Karnataka saw three COVID-19 deaths.
