The Uttar Pradesh Assembly's budget session is underway. On the 9th day of the session, a funny incident happened. During the assembly session on Tuesday, March 4, pan masala stains were found near the house's corridor. House speaker Satish Mahana warned the MLA who spit in the assembly to come out and confess the act, or he would take strict action against him.

"This morning I received information that in this hall of our Vidhan Sabha, some Member has spit after consuming pan masala. So, I came here and got it cleaned. I have seen the MLA in the video," UP Vidhan Sabha Speaker Satish Mahana said.

The speaker said that he does not want to take the MLA's name in front of everyone to humiliate him. "But I do not want to humiliate any individual. So, I am not taking their name. I urge all Members that if they see anyone doing this, they should stop them...Keeping this Assembly clean is our responsibility," he added.

He further warned that anyone who had done this should confess the act. "If the MLA in question comes and tells me that they have done this, it will be good; otherwise, I will call them..."

Earlier On Monday, there was uproar in the House during the assembly session. Dissatisfied with the government's response regarding the non-holding of executive council elections in universities and the lack of PDA representation in Vice-Chancellor appointments, Samajwadi Party members staged a walkout.
