Patan, Gujarat (April 17, 2025): Six people were killed on Thursday after the autorickshaw they were travelling in collided with a state transport bus in Gujarat’s Patan district. The accident occurred around 11.30 am near Sami village on the Sami-Radhanpur highway. The Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation bus was heading towards Kutch from Himmatnagar. The rickshaw was coming from the opposite direction.

According to reports, all six persons in the rickshaw, including the driver, died on the spot. The impact was so severe that the crushed rickshaw got lodged under the bus. Initial findings suggest the bus driver may have lost control while trying to overtake another vehicle, leading to the crash.
