Union Minister Nityanand Rai accused RJD leader Lalu Prasad Yadav of keeping Bihar away from development. He said that some people in Bihar are engaged in defaming the state.

He said, “Today there are some people in Bihar who are engaged in defaming Bihar, that is, the rule of Lalu Prasad Yadav, Rabri Devi, who had made Bihar sick and kept it far away from development. RJD and Congress people are trying to defame Bihar. Bihar is on the path of development... employment opportunities are being found here and Nitish Kumar is implementing all the schemes of the central government... the people of Bihar are now fed up with 'jungle raj' and casteism, so in the coming days, RJD, Congress will be wiped out and NDA will form the government here with a huge majority.”

Last month, Nityanand Rai lashed out at the Opposition Leader of Bihar, Tejashwi Yadav, for comparing Former Chief Minister of Bihar Lalu Prasad Yadav with Karpoori Thakur and said that Lalu Yadav should be given an award for protecting kidnappers, ruining development, and defaming Bihar.

Rai also warned that Tejashwi Yadav was following his father's path and that Bihar's people would reject his leadership.
