Vadodara, May 11 Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday inaugurated Sardar Dham Bhavan-3 in Vadodara and announced a series of initiatives linked to the Sardar Dham educational and social development framework.

The Prime Minister inaugurated the new facility worth Rs 150 crore, marking the operational expansion of the Sardar Dham complex, which has been developed as part of a broader initiative aimed at providing residential and academic support to students, particularly those preparing for competitive examinations.

The newly inaugurated Bhavan-3 is the latest addition to the Sardar Dham infrastructure network in Gujarat.

During the same programme, the Prime Minister virtually laid the foundation stone for the Dharamshi Harji Mordiya Girls Chhatralaya Phase-2.

The project is intended to expand hostel facilities for female students and is expected to increase residential capacity to support educational access for girls pursuing higher studies and competitive examinations.

The event also saw the formal launch of the 'Sardar Dham Education Support Yojana', a Rs 500 crore initiative designed to strengthen financial assistance, training, and mentoring support for students.

According to details shared during the programme, the scheme is aimed at enhancing access to structured educational resources, particularly for those from modest socio-economic backgrounds preparing for professional courses and public service examinations.

The Sardar Dham initiative, developed under community-led efforts inspired by Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s legacy, has focused on building integrated residential and educational facilities.

The complex in Vadodara forms part of a wider network that includes hostel accommodation, digital learning infrastructure, libraries, counselling facilities, and coaching support systems for competitive examinations.

Officials associated with the project have previously stated that Sardar Dham Bhavan-3 has been constructed as a large-scale residential and academic facility with capacity for thousands of students.

The development is designed to function as a combined training and living space, supporting long-term preparation for examinations such as UPSC, GPSC, and other professional entry tests.

The programme in Vadodara marked the continuation of ongoing expansion efforts under the Sardar Dham framework, which integrates educational infrastructure development with community-based support initiatives aimed at student advancement.
