Prime Minister Narendra Modi met former UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and his family on Tuesday, February 18, 2025. Sunak was accompanied by his wife Akshata Murty, their daughters Krishna and Anoushka, and his mother-in-law Sudha Murthy, a Rajya Sabha MP.

PM Modi shared on X, "It was a delight to meet former UK PM Rishi Sunak and his family. We had a wonderful conversation on many subjects. Mr. Sunak is a great friend of India and is passionate about even stronger India-UK ties."

Earlier on Tuesday, Sunak and his family visited Parliament House in New Delhi, where they were welcomed by Lok Sabha Secretary General Utpal Kumar Singh. The Sunak family also took time to admire the architecture of Parliament House during their visit. They explored various sections including the galleries, chambers, Constitution Hall, and Constitution Chamber.

Earlier in the week, Sunak and his family visited the Taj Mahal on February 15, 2025. On February 16, 2025, Sunak and his family also visited Fatehpur Sikri. They spent time at the shrine of Sheikh Salim Chishti where they offered a chadar. Sunak's family toured the historic site for nearly two hours.  Sunak and his wife had also visited the Akshardham Temple in Delhi during their stay for the G20 summit.
