Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a visit to Takhat Sri Harimandir Ji Patna Sahib in Patna City on Monday. During his visit, PM Modi actively participated in serving langar at Gurudwara Patna Sahib in Patna, Bihar.

Takhat Sri Patna Sahib, also referred to as Takhat Sri Harimandir Ji, Patna Sahib, stands as one of the five revered takhats of the Sikh community, situated in the state capital. Its inception dates back to the 18th century, when Maharaja Ranjit Singh commissioned its construction, commemorating the birthplace of Guru Gobind Singh.

Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth Sikh Guru, was born in Patna in the year 1666. His early life was spent in this city before he later relocated to Anandpur Sahib.

The PM visited Sri Harimandir Ji Patna Sahib a day after holding a roadshow in the state capital. Modi became the first prime minister to have held a roadshow anywhere in Bihar. The PM is scheduled to address election rallies in favour of NDA nominees in Hajipur, Muzaffarpur and Saran on Monday.
