Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday lauded Varanasi for fighting efficiently against the second wave of the COVID-19 crisis. During his video conference with the healthcare professionals and choked with emotion while thanking doctors, frontline workers. While interacting with doctors, paramedical staff and other frontline health workers of his parliamentary constituency, PM Modi said, "Varanasi has set a great example by the way it has equipped Pandit Rajan Mishra COVID hospital and increased the number of oxygen beds and ICU beds in the city, in such a short span of time."

Aam Aadmi Party Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh on Friday reflected back on his prediction regarding Prime Minister Narendra Modi he made last month. Last month, Singh had said that Prime Minister Modi would come on TV and cry while talking about the Corona situation in the country. Singh shared his prediction on Twitter.

In an official statement released by the Aam Aadmi Party, the party said that Sanjay Singh's prediction about Prime Minister Narendra Modi has "proved to be true". The Rajya Sabha MP of the AAP had made a prediction about PM Modi on April 17, which "turned out to be true on May 21".

During an interview in April, Sanjay Singh had said, "Just wait a little, he (PM Modi) will come in front of you. He is waiting for the lights and cameras. He would cry on TV and all channels across the country will run how the Prime Minister became emotional and started crying."
