In a viral video, some policemen can be seen snatching a crate of banana from a fruit vendor who was carrying the crate on a bicycle. The cops snatch the crate and then put it inside a waiting police vehicle. The video is reportedly from Odisha, and the police officers snatched the banana from the vendor after claiming that he was violating lockdown rules. The incident occurred in the Berhampur Housing Board colony under Gosani Nuagaon area. The incident drew sharp criticism from opposition.

Berhampur SP Pinak Mishra has been informed about the incident. Berhampur SP Pinak Mishra told newsmen. “The incident is unfortunate. The police personnel in their over-enthusiasm have done this. All of them have been called for an explanation. They have been strictly warned to be more considerate and reasonable during enforcement. Concerned officers have also been directed to find out the fruit seller and compensate him for his loss.”Check out the video of the entire incident here....
