New Delhi, May 9 BJP Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha has launched a blistering attack on the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), accusing it of betraying Punjab, its people, and the very spirit of Punjabiyat. Citing explosive revelations from ongoing Enforcement Directorate investigations, Chadha alleged that the ruling party in Punjab has turned the state into a hub of corruption and financial mismanagement.

Chadha said that AAP had promised to make Punjab “Rangla,” a land of prosperity and vibrancy, but instead reduced its treasury to “Kangla,” drained and burdened with debt.

He pointed to Punjab’s staggering ₹5 lakh crore debt and claimed that while the state struggles under this financial weight, AAP leaders have allegedly routed public money abroad through hawala channels.

The BJP leader highlighted shocking reports of ₹21 lakh in cash being thrown from a ninth-floor balcony during an ED raid, questioning the legitimacy of such funds.

“No honest person would discard money earned lawfully in this manner. Forget ₹21 lakh, no one would throw away even ₹21 earned honestly,” he remarked, suggesting the incident itself was proof of corruption.

Chadha further referred to documents reportedly indicating the round-tripping of hundreds of crores through companies based in the UAE, Canada, and Australia.

He alleged that these overseas entities were created to facilitate large-scale financial fraud, calling it one of the biggest betrayals of Punjab’s mandate. He reminded that several leaders, including seven Rajya Sabha MPs, had already distanced themselves from AAP over similar concerns.

According to Chadha, internal warnings about corruption within AAP were consistently suppressed, and the party has now fallen into the hands of “corrupt and compromised individuals.”

He said the revelations validate long-standing fears that AAP’s claim of honest politics was hollow, exposing Punjab to unprecedented financial betrayal. Concluding his remarks, Chadha asserted that while investigative agencies will continue their work, the ultimate judgment will be delivered by the people of Punjab.

He predicted that voters would deliver a decisive response in the 2027 Vidhan Sabha elections, rejecting corruption and betrayal.

“The people of Punjab will answer this loot democratically,” he said, adding that accountability and transparency are what Punjabis truly deserve.
