An Indian Army soldier named Lovepreet Singh allegedly shot Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Sarpanch Gurvinder Singh’s brother Nirmal Singh over a panchayat lane dispute on Thursday, February 13. The accused fled, and police have launched a manhunt. The victim’s family still faces threats. More details are awaited.

The incident occurred at Shoor Khurd village under the Kalanaur police station when both Nirmal Singh and soldier engaged in a hated argument with a group of people over the construction of a village street. An FIR was registered at the Kalanaur police station. Senior officials rushed to the scene of the crime.
