A shocking incident of crime has come to light were a first-year law college student in Punjab’s Tarn Taran district, allegedly shot a friend, then kills himself  in college. This incident occurred on Monday, February 9, 2026. 

According to PTI reports, Prince Raj opened fire on Sandeep Kaur in the classroom , leading to her death. Later he kill himself, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Jagbir Singh. However, it is yet to be ascertained why Raj killed Kaur, said police, adding that an investigation is underway.

Police report that law college first-year students Raj and Kaur were involved in a shooting at the Usma village campus in Tarn Taran before classes began. Raj shot Kaur in the head before shooting himself.  While his friend Kaur died at the scene, and Raj was transported to a hospital in critical condition.

In a shocking incident triggered by a trivial reason, a young man was brutally murdered in the Talegaon Dabhade area. Enraged over an abuse directed at his mother, one youth allegedly bludgeoned another to death with a stone. The incident has sent shockwaves across the city and created an atmosphere of fear among residents.

The dispute reportedly began while the two men were watching a cricket match at a ground along the old Pune–Mumbai highway near Somatane Phata. The deceased, Santosh Pawar, and the accused, Sunny Chavan, were complete strangers. While sitting at the same spot watching the match, a minor argument broke out between them over some issue.
