Punjab: A 66-year-old man died of a severe heart attack while standing in a queue to obtain a gas cylinder in Shahna village in Punjab's Barnala district. Deceased has been identified as Bhushan Kumar Mittal,a resident of Shahna village, had gone to a nearby gas distribution center around 8:00 AM On March 13, 2026 to collect a domestic gas cylinder.

Due to a shortage of gas and surging demand, a long queue of customers had formed at the center. Bhushan Kumar was 25th in the queue and had been standing there for two hours. However, around 10:00 AM, he suddenly experienced chest pain and collapsed. Other citizens present at the scene rushed to assist him.

Elderly man was immediately taken to a nearby hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead. They further confirmed that his death was caused by a heart attack. Upon receiving news of the incident, his family was left in deep shock, and his body has been sent for a post-mortem examination.
