Rabeeha Abdurehim, an MA gold medalist in Pondicherry University's mass communication, alleged that she was not allowed to attend the convocation ceremony at which President Ram Nath Kovind was the chief guest.

Rabeeha said that before the commencement of the convocation, a senior police officer asked her to leave the auditorium. She was allowed into the auditorium after the departure of the Chief Guest, President Kovind.

Rabeeha said that she didn't know the actual reason why she was asked to leave. But, she came to know when the students asked the police. The Police said it is probably because she is wearing a scarf in a different way.

Rabeeha Abdurehim, who is from Kerala and had done her Masters course in Mass Communication, also refused to accept the gold medal to express solidarity with students protesting against the Citizenship Amendment Act.
