Four women were killed and three others were injured after a car crushed a group of people, including women, on the Ganga Expressway in Uttar Pradesh's Raebareli district on Sunday night. The accident took place near Sultanpur Janoli village in the Jagatpur police station area. 

A speeding car suddenly hit and crushed several women walking on the under-construction Ganga Expressway. Four women died on the spot, while three others sustained serious injuries and are undergoing treatment at the district hospital.

Raebareli CO, Arun Kumar said, "This road accident occurred near Chuli village in Jagatpur, resulting in the deaths of four young women and leaving three others injured and receiving treatment at the district hospital." 

After receiving information police rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to the district hospital by ambulance for treatment. Some of the critically injured patients are expected to be referred to other hospitals for further advanced treatment.
