Raebareli, Uttar Pradesh (March 3, 2025): A horrific road accident in Unchahar market area on the Lucknow-Prayagraj National Highway left two bikers seriously injured after a speeding SUV hit them head-on. The accident, which was caught on CCTV, shows the bikers being thrown into the air before landing on an e-rickshaw.
According to regional media reports, the incident occurred on Sunda, March 2, 2025. The SUV, decorated with wedding garlands, was on its way to pick up a groom when it lost control and rammed into the bikers. The victims, identified as Surya and Guru Sharan from Kandarawa, were heading to a roadside juice stall when the accident took place. Both suffered serious injuries but survived.
The driver of the SUV did not stop after hitting them and later struck another pedestrian, Mohammad Kaleem, near Hanuman Temple. Locals rushed the injured to the Community Health Center, and one critically wounded person was referred to the district hospital.
Police have reportedly registered a complaint and taken the vehicle into custody. An investigation is underway.
