Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi said on Wednesday that retaining senior party leader Mr P Chidambaram’s 106 day incarceration was vengeful & vindictive.

Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi said on Wednesday that retaining senior party leader Mr P Chidambaram’s 106 day incarceration was vengeful & vindictive. I'm glad that the SC has granted him bail. I'm confident that he will be able to prove his innocence in a fair trial. He made this remark shortly after the bail granted to the former Finance Minister from the Supreme Court in the INX Media case.

A three-member bench headed by Justice R Bhanumathi granted bail to Chidambaram. The 74-year-old Congress leader was in custody since 21 October. He was arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in the INX Media corruption case.He was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate on October 16 on charges of money laundering.
