Rahul Gandhi, congress MP and Leader of opposition has written an official letter to president Droupadi Murmu asking   government to intervene in the case of thousands of qualified school teachers in West Bengal who have lost their jobs following the cancellation of a teacher recruitment process by the judiciary. The plea, supported by the Shikshak Shikshika Adhikar Mancha (IX-X), highlights the human and educational toll of the decision and seeks justice for those selected through fair means. In letter he wrote, "I hope this letter finds you well. I write to request your intervention into the case of thousands of qualified school teachers in West Bengal who have lost their jobs due to the cancellation of the teacher recruitment process by the judiciary. A delegation from the Shikshak Shikshika Adhikar Mancha (IX-X), a platform for affected teachers apprised me of the matter and specifically requested me to write to you. A copy of their representation is attached."

"The Calcutta High Court's nullification of teacher recruitment, upheld by the Supreme Court on April 3rd, has left affected teachers and staff with little hope. While talking about the recruitment of irregularities and demanding justice for perpetrators is essential, the indiscriminate termination of both fairly and unfairly selected teachers is a grave injustice," Gandhi Added

Many "untainted" teachers, serving for nearly a decade, face job loss, disrupting their families' livelihoods and depriving lakhs of students of qualified educators. Understanding the profound human cost, particularly as a former teacher, I urge you to favorably consider their plight and advocate for government intervention to allow teachers selected through fair means to continue serving.
