Raja Raghuvanshi Murder Case: A local court in Meghalaya on Thursday, June 26, 2025, remanded three accused Lokendra Singh Tomar, Silome James and Balla Ahirwar to six days of police custody for allegedly destroying evidence in connection with the murder of Indore businessman Raja Raghuvanshi.

One of the accused, Lokendra Singh Tomar, a resident of Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh, was arrested on Monday.  According to the reports, Tomar is the landlord of the flat at Dewas Naka in Indore, where Sonam Raghuvanshi, the main accused, was believed to have stayed while in hiding.

The other two accused are Silome James, a property dealer who rented a flat to co-accused Vishal Singh Chauhan, and Balbir Ahirwar alias Ballu, a security guard at the same apartment complex. They were arrested over the weekend.

All three are charged with concealing and destroying material evidence in the ongoing investigation.

Raja Raghuvanshi and his wife Sonam were reported missing on May 23 while on their honeymoon in the Sohra area of Meghalaya. On June 2, Raja’s highly decomposed body was found in a gorge. Following an investigation, the police named Sonam and her partner Raj Kushwaha as the prime accused in the murder.
