On December 9, on the occasion of International Anti-Corruption Day, the DSP of Rajasthan anti-corruption bureau (ACB) gave a speech that taking and giving bribe is both a crime. If anyone asks for a bribe, a complaint can be made by calling on number 1064. The DSP, who taught the general public an awareness lesson against  corruption was caught taking a bribe of 80 thousand rupees after one hour of his speech. The incident is from Sawai Madhopur in Rajasthan. The name of this DSP is Bheru Lal Meena, who is employed in Sawai Madhopur ACB.

A team of Rajasthan Anti-Corruption Bureau Headquarters, Jaipur on Wednesday arrested Meena for accepting a bribe of Rs 80,000 from a district transport officer (DTO) Mahesh Chand in Sawai Madhopur.

According to DG, ACB BL Soni, the accused ACB officer, Bheru Lal Meena, was deputed as the ACB chowki incharge in Sawaimadhopur. Meena was demanding monthly payments from DTO (Sawaimadhopur) Mahesh Chand. We have been receiving complaints against him for the past 2-3 months and he was on our radar, said the officer.

We verified the complaint and a trap was laid, said the officer. Meena was caught red-handed accepting Rs 80,000 from Mahesh Chand. DTO was also arrested as both accepting and offering bribe are an offense under the Prevention of Corruption Act.
