The crescent moon for Ramzan 2025 has not been sighted in Lucknow, India on Friday, February 28 (29th Shaban 1446 AH), therefore, the fist day of Ramadan will be observed on March 2, 2025, declared Maulana Khalid Rasheed Farangi Mahali, President of the Markazi Chand Committee and Shahi Imam of Lucknow. 

Earlier, Maulana Khalid Rasheed said, "Even after several efforts, we have not been able to sight the moon in Lucknow. After the sighting, we will make further announcements accordingly. Final decision will be announced by 7.30 pm today."

Meanwhile, the start of Ramadan (1446 AH) is determined by the sighting of the crescent moon and Muslims in Saudi Arabia, UAE, and other Gulf nations will search for the crescent moon of Ramadan 2025 today.
