Bollywood actress Payal Rohtagi was detained by Rajasthan Police on Sunday from her residence after she posted a offensive video on her social media a few months ago.  A case was registered against Payal for making objectionable comments in a video against the family of freedom fighters Motilal Nehru, and his daughter-in-law Kamala Nehru, father and wife of Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru. Payal himself took to Twitter, to speak about her detainment. She wrote, "I am arrested by @PoliceRajasthan for making a video on #MotilalNehru which I made from taking information from @google .. Freedom of Speech is a joke" Payal even apologized  for her remark but the matter was far from over as the actress has landed in controversy for her comments.

Meanwhile, wrestler Sangram Singh, took to Twitter and requested Prime Minister Narendra Modi to look into the matter.  "This is freedom of Speech in Congress Ruling state@HMOIndia @PMOIndia @narendramodi Sir. Please have a look this matter🙏" he wrote. For the unversed, Youth Congress leader Charmesh Sharma registered a complaint along with the copies of the offensive content at Sadar poilce station back in September when the actress allegedly uploaded offensive videos on Motilal Nehru, Jawaharlal Nehru, and other Nehru-Gandhi family members.
