Former Haryana minister Satpal Sangwan passed away on Monday at Medanta Hospital in Gurugram. He had been unwell for a long time. Sangwan was the father of BJP MLA Sunil Sangwan from Dadri and had served as an MLA from Dadri in 1996 and 2009. He contested the assembly elections from Dadri six times in a row.
Satpal Sangwan also held the position of Cooperative Minister in the Bhupinder Singh Hooda-led Congress government in Haryana. His last rites will be performed today (March 3) afternoon in his native village, Chandeni. His body will be kept at his Dadri residence for public viewing at 9 AM.
