Woman head constable Seema Dhaka of Samaypur Badli received an out-of-turn promotion for tracing 76 missing children in a period of three months. Out of the 76 children 56 of them were below the age of 14 years. 

Her excellent performance has been rewarded by giving her a promotion by the Delhi Police. She is one of the first ever officer from Delhi to get an out-of-turn promotion under the incentive scheme announced by Delhi Police commissioner SN Shrivastava. 

“It gives me joy to see children reunite with parents. I’m happy that the Police Commissioner rewarded my work. This might encourage others also,” she said.

"I worked without any break as per leads I had been getting. I am certainly happy," said Dhaka, who was earlier a head constable

Dhaka managed to trace the missing children from Delhi and the states of Punjab and West Bengal. 

"These 76 children were reported missing from various police stations of Delhi and W/HC Seema Dhaka had put sincere and painstaking efforts and traced them within a span of two and half months from Delhi and other states," said Anil Mittal, Additional PRO Delhi police.

The officer has been hailed a hero on social media for her painstaking work that has brought happiness to many families.
