A local court will reportedly issue an order on Saturday to apply for prior permission to take voice samples of rape accused Swami Chinmayanand and the victim from a special investigation team (SIT).

The SIT demanded a sample voice of the two with three others, who were charged with extortion earlier this week. On October 3, the court ordered the warrant.

The law student had accused Chinmayanand of rape and blackmail last month. The latter, in turn, sued the student and her three friends with an extortion lawsuit. Both suspects are in judicial custody

The student who went to college owned by Chinmayanand, admitted to a local court that the BJP member raped her repeatedly for over a year. She said the defendant filmed and used the incident to threaten her on the video.

The leader, on the other hand, claimed that she along with her friends tried to extort five crores from him.

During the investigation, several video clips emerged. There were allegedly lewd conversations between the woman and Chinmayanand in one video. The other video of the extortion case showed the woman, three others and the driver in a car, speaking about the extortion from Chinmayanand.
