A 17-year-old boy from Bengaluru lost his arm after he attended his friends birthday party after posionous substance was injected.According to a report in The Times of India, the boy’s family has claimed that the accused had injected drugs into the minor’s arm, which caused swelling four days after the birthday party. When they rushed him to the doctor, they advised amputation as there was a poisonous substance in the arm.The boy had said that at the party in Chamarajpet area of Bengaluru, the accused, who is a volleyball coach, had grinded some tablets, dissolved them in water and injected the mixture into his body.

It was only days after that the arm started swelling up. When the family took the boy to the Sanjay Gandhi Hospital, the doctors said the arm would have to be amputated to remove the poisonous substance. The family lodged a complaint with the police, based on which an FIR has been registered under IPC section 328 (causing hurt by means of poison with intent to commit offence). However, the accused coach is already in prison in a vehicle theft case. Police have requested the doctors to submit a report on the poisonous element found in the boy’s body to take further action against the accused. Police will now approach the court to get a warrant against the accused to further question him.
