Roshan Chandra, a software engineer living in Madhubani, Bihar, died due to corona. He breathed his last at Rajeshwar Hospital in Patna. Earlier, he was undergoing treatment at Glocal Hospital in Bhagalpur.

He was shifted to Patna as his health deteriorated further. After Roshan's death, his wife Ruchi cried and recounted her ordeal. In a heart-breaking video, Ruchi alleged that she had to endure harassment for her husband's treatment.

According to media reports, Ruchi accused a staff member of sexual harassment at Glocal Hospital in Patna. The woman said Jyoti Kumar, an attendant at the hospital, molested her several times. In her 12-minute video, the woman alleged that the doctors and staff at the three hospitals showed extreme negligence in treating her husband and even refused to change his bedsheets.

At the same time, her husband was harassed for treatment. In Patna (at the city's Rajeshwar Hospital), she accused staff of negligence even as her husband's oxygen levels dropped alarmingly low. And after that stabilised, she said, they cut his supply and she was forced to buy cylinders from the black market.Which led to his death. Allegedly, people in the hospital were always shutting off the oxygen supply. So that people pay more to buy oxygen.Ruchi also bought oxygen from the black market. But she could not save her husband.

Ruchi further said that she does not want anyone else to die like her husband did. Crying in the end, she said that patients could not be released on the trust of doctors. There are executioners, they killed my father. When this incident came to light, the administration woke up agitated.

Bhagalpur SSP Gudiya Natasha herself went to Glocal Hospital to find out about the case. She also ordered an inquiry. Allegedly, the hospital administration fired the accused doctor. But there is still a long way to go. Hopefully, the culprits will be punished and no one will have to lose their lives like Roshan.
