In a shocking incident, a father killed his four-year-old son in Tamil Nadu’s Tiruvarur district. As per police report, the accused et ablaze his son after a astrologer advised him to do so.

The accused identified as Ramky, an auto driver, used to believe in astrology and visited several astrologers.

According to reports, when Ramky visited an astrologer who told him that there is trouble in his life due to the bad horoscope of his son, and might even be a cause of threat to his life.

Ramky was allegedly told that his son should not be living with him for the next 15 years and then decided to send him away to study with his relatives. However, his wife had objected.

On Monday, Ramky was in an inebriated condition and had a heated argument with his wife over the same issue. In fit of rage he set on fire his 4-year-old son by pouring kerosene on him.

After seeing the child in the flames, neighbours doused the fire and rushed him to the Government Hospital. However, the four-year-old boy later succumbed to 90 percent burn injuries

Meanwhile, the accused has been arrested and has been booked under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
