fire broke out at Bidhan Market in Siliguri on Saturday, causing damage to 25 shops. Fortunately, no casualties have been reported.

Ajit Ghosh, Fire Officer at the Siliguri Fire Station, confirmed that the fire has been brought under control. He stated that the damaged shops were primarily cloth and readymade garment retailers.

"The fire has been brought under control. Around 25 shops have been damaged. The reason behind the fire is yet to be ascertained, and an investigation is underway to determine the cause," Ghosh said.

Raju Saha, Joint Secretary of Bidhan Market, added, "A total of 14 shops have been completely burnt, while 11 shops were damaged in the fire. The loss incurred due to the fire is yet to be ascertained."
