Six Chinese screened in Shimla, no symptoms of coronavirus

Six Chinese nationals who were screened for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in the Himachal Pradesh capital, showed no symptoms of the disease, officials said on Thursday.

Shimla, Feb 20 Six Chinese nationals who were screened for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in the Himachal Pradesh capital, showed no symptoms of the disease, officials said on Thursday.

Health authorities here examined them and found their tests normal, said Deputy Commissioner Amit Kashyap.

They have been advised to avoid visiting public places and report to health officials in case of symptoms of cough and fever. However, all the six Chinese nationals left the state capital on Thursday.

All the hotels, home stays and rest houses here have been advised by local authorities to inform them about the visiting guests from China.
