Surat, Gujarat (June 24, 2025): A major fire broke out at Hare Krishna Paper Mill located in the Tadkeshwar GIDC area of Surat on Tuesday, IANS reported. Firefighting teams from Sumilon and Torrent Power rushed to the scene and began efforts to control the blaze. The cause of the fire remains unknown at this stage. No casualties have been reported so far. In a video shared by news agency IANS, thick black smoke can be seen rising from the factory premises.

In a separate incident in Mumbai, two back-to-back fires were reported on Monday morning. One occurred at the set of the popular television serial Anupamaa in Goregaon’s Film City. The other took place at an office in the Neelkanth building at Marine Lines.

The Film City fire began at 6.10 a.m. in a studio tent. The Mumbai Fire Brigade arrived on the scene and took nearly four hours to extinguish the flames by 10.15 a.m. According to the reports, the fire affected a 5000 square foot area. Four fire engines and four jumbo water tankers were deployed for the operation.

The second fire at Marine Lines was reported at 10.45 a.m. on the fifth floor of the office building. It was brought under control within 25 minutes. Three fire engines and four water tankers were used in the firefighting efforts. No injuries were reported in either Mumbai incident.
