A tragic accident occurred in the Panchamadevi area of Karur, Tamil Nadu, on Tuesday, April 15, when the wall of an old wooden house collapsed during the foundation digging for a new home. The incident claimed the life of a construction worker at the site.

According to local reports, the collapse happened as workers were engaged in digging work near the old structure. The sudden failure of the wall trapped three workers under the debris. Rescue teams responded quickly, managing to pull out two workers with injuries, while one worker was found dead at the scene.

The injured workers are currently receiving treatment at a local hospital. Police have launched an investigation into the incident to determine whether safety protocols were followed during the construction activity.
