Telangana: A 28-year-old man was murdered by his colleague for allegedly washing hands in his plate after breakfast. This horrific incident came to light on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, after Panchal's body was found in the watchmen's quarters. According to NDTV reports, Shyam was allegedly murdered by his colleague after a trivial argument at a private apartment complex in Telangana's Kollur.
Police said, On January 19, Panchal and Atul Sahani were having breakfast when Panchal washed his hands in Sahani's plate, triggering a heated argument. The argument escalated, and Sahani allegedly struck Panchal on the head, causing severe injuries that resulted in his immediate death. Police have began a murder investigation, questioning witnesses and collecting evidence to determine the motive and sequence of events.
In a separate incident, a 34-year-old man, Sunny Singh, was found dead by hanging in his south Kolkata home. His family has accused his wife and her relatives of murder. Police recovered Singh's body last night and have launched an investigation, including a post-mortem examination. The family alleges the wife and brother-in-law are responsible. Singh, his wife Punita Singh, and their daughter Tanisha lived in a rented house in Sarshuna.

Police sources indicate Singh's drinking habit caused frequent arguments with his wife. On Monday night, after an argument, Singh allegedly forced his wife and daughter out of the house. They returned with police intervention. On Tuesday night, Singh was found hanging. Punita, who had been locked in a room, climbed down from the balcony with the help of neighbors, opened the house, and discovered the body. Police found no injuries on Singh's body besides ligature marks on his neck.
