New Delhi, March 17 BJP leader Kapil Mishra, who has been outspoken about his stand on the Shaheen Bagh protest against the Citizenship Act from the very beginning, has fired another salvo.

"First they blocked our traffic, stopped us from going to schools, hospitals & jobs. Now, Shaheen Bagh protesters are behaving like "terrorists on suic*de mission". Shaheen Bagh is now a direct threat to lives of millions of Delhi citizens. It's a criminal act. #Corona," he tweeted.

This onslaught comes after the protesters refused to budge even in face of government directives to maintain social distancing and Delhi government stopping any congregation of or above 50 people, in view of Coronavirus.

The women at Shaheen Bagh are on a protest against the amended citizenship Act, proposed National Register of Citizens (NRC) and National Population Register (NPR). Experts suggest they pose a health risk given the contagious nature of Coronavirus.
