Ramban district of Jammu and Kashmir experienced flash floods due to heavy rains and landslides, which damaged 200 to 250 houses and rescued more than 100 people. Three people died in this accident. Floods have damaged around 40 houses in Dharam Kund village. Despite the cloud and rain, the police reached the spot and started rescue operations and brought out the trapped people. A spokesman for the transport department said that the rains are still continuing, so passengers have been appealed not to travel on this route until the road clears, and the weather improves. On the condition in Ramban, Jammu and Kashmir CM Omar Abdullah stated that situation is very bad in some areas, especially near national highway and we are trying to restore it.

While talking to media Omar said, "The condition is very bad in some areas, especially near the National Highway. The Dy CM was sent and the MLAs of Ramban and Banihal are present there. Restoration of the Highway is underway... We are also trying to restore the affected residential areas."

He further added, "We spoke to the centre; NDRF is also being sent. PM Relief Funds and other relief funds would also be tapped so that people can be compensated for their loss..."

Meanwhile, vehicular traffic was reported in several areas due to heavy rainfall, which triggered landslides on Sunday morning. Jammu–Srinagar National Highway (NH-44) was closed in both directions for the safety of vehicles due to unsafe travel conditions caused by harsh weather.
