Three wagons of a goods train derailed at Titilagarh yard in Odisha on Friday night, February 21, at around 8:30 p.m. while heading towards Raipur. East Coast railways officials, along with the DRM Sambalpur, reached the spot and started investigating how to restore the wagons.

No casualties or damage were reported. The goods train carrying red mud derailed while moving from Line Number 8 to the downline. Three wagons went off track, one breaching the railway boundary.

Sambalpur DRM Tusharkanta Pandey said, "Red mud was loaded in these wagons and was being taken to a cement plant. Three wagons derailed while leaving from Line 8... Main line was immediately restored... All portions except three wagons of this goods train have been removed from the track..."
